This doesn't happen often
Holy flippers!
I want to thank you guys for taking the time to read last week’s email.
Results of last week’s email was 86% open rate and 13 people who took the survey voted:
11 - 👍 This is dope!
1 - 😐 Meh - Ok
1 - 👎 Go back to the old way
Plus, three written feedback that said:
“Modules are the way to go! Breaks the newsletter into chunks as well - easier to consume.”
“I love it!! And I see you added the widget too, it's so cool 🙌”
“Sections made it fun to read.”
I appreciate that not all the feedback was 👍 . I’m glad to hear that one person wanted the old way.
So to get the best of both worlds, I’ll continue to keep this section the same (share a ~250 word story) and then end the email with modules.
Thank you everyone who took the survey and gave me feedback. This much engagement on my newsletter doesn't happen often. 🤩
Also, hat tip to my good friend, Mattia for telling me about Feedletter, the survey form I integrated into my last email.
Building In Public
Secret project update #1: Let’s start with why we created this project. Me and my classmates noticed a gap for kinesiology students who needed advice outside of what they were learning in school.
Such as what can you do with your degree? How do you gain experience if you have none? So we created a site to offer resources that we wish we had when we were students.
Weekly Resources and Lessons
Fitness: Don’t think you’re too advanced for basic exercises. There’s a reason why these exercises are effective.
Writing: “What’s in it for the reader?” is a question my mentors have drilled in my head. If I can’t answer this question then why should the reader keep reading?
Life: Two questions I go back to when I worry about what others think.
Catch ya next week 🤙
