my 16lb dog scared 2 burglars away

I almost got robbed on Saturday night.

At 2:07 AM, my dog, Lucky, woke me up with his loud barking and growling.

I didn't think much of this because he's known for being a loud dog. In fact, people in my neighbourhood call him "The Barker". 🐶

So I went back to sleep.

But the next morning, my home security cameras notified me that two people were in my backyard and were trying to break in through the back door.

As I watched, I realized that the camera also picked up the audio. I noticed that some sounds had scared the burglars from trying to break in.

I rewatched the video and increased the volume on my phone.

Turns out my dog barking from upstairs was so loud that the burglars could hear from the main floor. Lucky's barking shook them up and made them jump when they heard him bark, and they ran away.

Little did they know that the dog upstairs was a 16lb Shih Tzu who's more of a barker than a biter. Thanks to this barking monster, nothing was stolen, and no one was hurt.

Crazy to think that not being able to see something and relying on other senses, like hearing, can change our perception of what something might look like.

I can assure you Lucky is an aggressively cute dog. Here's a photo for proof!

Building in Public

Due to my copywriting workload almost doubling this month, I haven’t had much time to focus on my email list management services. But I’m totally fine with that because I’m writing for more of my niches at work and getting practice on email sequences.

So I’m thinking of focusing my freelance business on offering Email Service Provider(ESP) audits and email deliverability services for coaches and creators. More to come in the following weeks (including free audits).
