Let's talk about the F word
No, not the swear.
Or umm you know...
Nor is it about failure.
I'm talking about fitness 😎
For the newer crew, welcome! I used to be a strength coach for the past five years.
I used to train everyday strength enthusiasts and world ranked powerlifters. And I know I'm only 5ft nothing but I used to be a competitive powerlifter.
Plus, I spent 6 years of university to get a bachelor's and master's in kinesiology. Also, accumulating a laundry list of certifications (Talk about a certification snob, eh? 🙄).
But I burned out.
If you asked any of my classmates, they would 113% confirm that I had the worst work-life balance in our cohort. To the point where I would read strength training books as my nighttime read before bed... (Don't worry, I read fiction books now 🤗)
Since May, I've taken a break from kinesiology so I could focus on being a copywriter.
But on Wednesday, I made a Twitter thread on some fitness resources. Here's the thread:
Guess what happened? I felt like I turned on the ignition in my chicken nugget heart and this flaming passion for fitness came back.
I'm not sure what this means... But know that I'll be sprinkling in some fitness emails in the coming months 🤗
If there's anything in fitness you want to learn more about, reply to this email. I'd be delighted to send you some resources.
