From military strict to flexible planning
Wanna know one of the best parts about being a freelancer?
You get to work whenever you want.
But too much freedom without a schedule is difficult 🙈
When I was transitioning to being a full time freelancer, I was writing for 3 companies and struggling to manage my time. The writing workload wasn't much at all. But I felt like I was writing non-stop because of my lack of routine.
So I tried accounting for every hour of my day and scheduling every single task into my calendar (I call this military strict planning 😂). But I was getting frustrated with myself when tasks were taking longer than expected, which messed up my schedule.
So I asked my good friend, Mattia, if he could help with my routine. I asked him because I knew he's been a successful full-time freelancer for several years. So back in December, Mattia started helping me create a task planner in Notion.
For the past 6 weeks, we tested out a couple versions. As the weeks progressed, we started to notice my stress went down and I was 13x more productive.
Now, I'm writing for 5 companies, handling several tasks as a virtual assistant/project manager and creating a personal brand.
And I'm spending 113% less time organizing my schedule. I probably only spend 5 minutes a week. Every Sunday evening, I'll:
1️⃣Brain dump my tasks on the Week queue
2️⃣Prioritize my Today's achievements then
3️⃣Crush my tasks and cross out those tasks
Turns out, there's a ton of people who wanted this template too. Within a couple days, over 100 freelancers and creators have downloaded the template with raving reviews. So I knew I needed to share this free resource with you guys.

I hope your productivity doubles and stress lowers with this planner. And if you need any help, feel free to email me or I can connect you with Mattia.

P.S. I've tried several Notion templates planners and none of them seem to work for me. It doesn't help that I'm an absolute techno dinosaur when it comes to using technology and Notion. But that's not the case with Mattia's planner.
Mattia and I joke that his planner is Christine Proof 😂
