5 takeaways from finishing a $9000 copywriting mentorship
This week, I wrapped up my 12-week mentorship with Lukas Resheske 🥳
To help reflect, I wanted to share Lukas' wisdom with y'all, here are my 5 takeaways:
The best copywriters are the best researchers. And there are 4 factors you want to nail before writing copy:
Demographic Psychographic, Market sophistication, and Market Awareness (Watch the video above to learn more)
2) Headlines
There isn’t a perfect headline nor is there a cut and dry formula. But by knowing the Big 4 Research, who you’re writing for and context, you can adjust. This has been a game changer to helping me improve my headlines.
3) Future of copy AI
Lukas shared how short form copy with AI software like Jasper can be effective. But humans will still outperform long form copy from AI. He also showed us how you can write pretty good emails in just 6 minutes!
4) Asking for feedback
Ask for specific (not general) feedback and the 'why' behind the feedback from your copy mentors. Only ask people you trust for feedback.
5) Editing rounds
Lukas showed us a Rapid and Thorough Edit Checklist. I was blown away with areas I wasn't editing, like attention grabbers.
If you're curious about what else I learned from the mentorship, feel free to reply to this email. I'd be happy to share more. Plus, this helps me apply the concepts better.
